Lovable husky needing a good home for growth and love. One of the calmest huskies I've ever seen but is dealing with trauma and abandonment by his past owners.
Kai is HIGHLY treat motivated, making him more easily trainable than most huskies. He's capable of playing with toys by himself, loves Kong with some peanut butter, normal soft toys and bones. For a Husky he has a low amount of vocalization, generally, but when he shows he loves you he huffs and "awoos" to see you. He's an excellent car rider, happy to accompany you around town and beyond. Kai loves to meet new people. He has low food and water guarding behaviors with humans. He's potty trained with few accidents.
Like everyone, he does have some bad behaviors born of his starvation, but he seems fast to learn with treats and commands. Currently he cries and whines when put in kennel. He needs work to be around cats safely. He can become TOO treat focused. He has food-source and water guarding with other animals. If he can do it without too much effort, he'll steal food. He's generally calm and good with dogs, but exhibits some dominant behaviors towards other dogs.
With a good home, a human he can trust and proper care and training, he may fully recover from his time as a stray, and even now, he'll make an amazing fuzzy friend. You can expect this little man to want hugs, long snuggles, and to stand by your side while you do things around the house or outside, steadfast and sweet. Please consider making him your forever dog.
Courtesy of PACC, Kai has been checked for a microchip, but had none. He comes fully vaccinated, neutered and microchiped, courtesy of PACC's aid for strays.
