FREE TO A GOOD HOME!!

All babies were rescued through Birds in Helping Hands and not obtained through breeders. Wild populations of nanday conures can be found throughout Florida, and these babies were rescued after falling from their nests. Because they are invasive here, they are unreleasable. They’ve been weaned off formula and ready to be adopted! They are also enjoying veggies, pellets, and fruits.

About the babies:

• Double-Trouble, Jacky, and Marlon: The oldest of the bunch! They are very shy around people but will warm up with time. All were rescued as older babies and are a little more feral than the others.

• Randy: Randy suffered from a broken leg after falling from the nest. The leg was splinted and Randy has grown big and strong! Recently, our exotic vet determined that the injury is healed, but that Randy will have a permanent limp and wonky leg placement. That doesn’t stop Randy from getting around, though!

• Jermaine, Tito, and Michael: These three were rescued as nearly featherless little babies! After being hand-raised, they are ready to be adopted. They are very sweet and still love to indulge in some baby bird pellet mush 😉

* None of them are DNA tested.

Requirements for adoption:

- appropriate cage setup (I will ask for photos)

- balanced diet including pellets, grains, fruits, and vegetables (seeds only fed as treats)

- prior experience with parrots (can make some exceptions)

- NO breeding operations

- NO dogs or cats

- meet-and-greet with bird prior to adoption

- patience and compassion (many birds need time to build trust and bond with their new owners)
