Basset Hound needs a good home

Needing to rehome my 6-year-old Basset. It's looking like I'll need to relocate and will only be able to take one of my dogs with me. I have a second, Great Dane size dog, whom JJ does not get along the best with. He does great with other smaller breeds, however.
He can be a little grumpy, and territorial with his food. He is just that typical basset personality, who has a little bit of sass but otherwise is just a big ball of love.
He is house broken (potty trained) and loves to cuddle. He often tries to sleep under the blankets with you. He's a good boy; I am just having to make a choice here and I think it's best for him to find a household that is less active. He'd do great with a family that enjoys watching TV, he is the ideal lap dog!
This breaks my heart, but I know he deserves better than what I can give him.
He is also AKC, I never followed through with registering him, however I think I have his paperwork still in my storage closet.
