Desperately need home for cat

I’m desperate for help. My friend has passed away and I had to take his cat while cleaning out his apartment. However, I cannot keep the cat. I have a child in my home who is allergic and my dog is not comfortable with him. I don’t know what to do. Shelters will not take him because he is about nine years old. His name is Phantom and he is a handsome gentleman. He’s independent and won’t be all over you if you don’t want a cat that’s too clingy. Grey with some white. About 9 years old. Green eyes. Not fixed
