Description
Dodger is a German shepherd/ black lab/ akita mix. He's a very good boy, loves to play, prefers tug of war. Not aggressive, but very energetic. It hasn't happened, but I could easily see him knocking someone down on accident out of excitement. Loves people, he typically listens pretty well unless there are new people or he's excited. He's 8 or 9 years old. I'm looking for a new home for him, I am in the military and my lifestyle moving forward will not be one that will allow for dogs. I have had him since he was a puppy and I'm very sad to let him go, but it's what's best for him. I looking for someone who will love him and play with him and give him a good doggy life. I haven't had him around tiny children, but he's good with older kids. I worry that he might knock down kids or old people if he's not reminded to calm down. He usually listens very well, he's very smart and learns quickly. Typically quiet, except when animals climb the back fence. He's trained(not professionally), and house broken. He's good with most dogs, but typically spends his first interactions with his tail between his legs until he gets comfortable. He will politely let you know he needs to go outside by lightly pawing the nearest surface. He's a big boy and looks intimidating, but will give you the code to the safe for a belly rub.
