It is with a heavy heart we are in need of rehoming our GSP. We picked up him and his sister to add to our family as our Lab is aging and will be called home soon. However it has come to our attention that our Severely Autistic and non verbal son does not tolerate any of the sounds our dog makes. It came as a shock as he has always loved and tolerated our Lab, so we never thought anything of it. We hate that we need to rehome him as we are the type of family who wants to provide a fur-ever home for our pets. We had no idea that our son's tolerance would do an about face and force us to have to make this decision. So please trust me when I say, this was not an easy but a heartbreaking decision.

With all that said, this is Kar and he is barely over 1 yr in age. He is AKC registered, comes from good lineage and is not fixed. He is full of energy and needs space to run and loves a good adventure. He would be ideal for a bird hunter with the right training and also ideal for the active family. He plays exceptionally well with other dogs and loves to make friends. He is a smart boy and can open doors that have a lever handle. He is so sweet and cuddly. If your on the couch, he will make sure to keep your feet warm. While he keeps your feet warm he will stare at you and tell you he needs a good ear rub. He absolutely loves those.

Let's be honest here, he needs some work. The problem that we have faced, that my son struggles with and clearly brought to our attention, is that he whines. We have an antagonistic squirrel up in a tree in our back yard. When Kar sees this squirrel he will anxiously whine at the door until someone let's him out, because he thinks he can catch that squirrel and will almost clear our 6ft tall fence to get it. If he doesnt quite catch the squirrel, he will watch it carefully while pointing at it. He's a pointer after all! Be warned, he is an early riser and is up before the sun crests the mountains which means he will wake you up to let you know the sun is coming up and the squirrel outside awaits. He quickly gets bored and whines to let me know he needs to do something. This is an easy fix with patience and proper training and space to run. We have reached out to a professional dog trainer who says he is completely trainable even with his determined personality, after all he is still a puppy.

If you are interested in our beautiful loving boy, please reach out.
