Jill also needs some special training that I cannot provide. She is house trained and knows simple commands/words: sit, down, move, inside/outside, high-five. We adopted her when she was very small, so we are all she knows. She is scared of strangers and very anxious around strange people and dogs. We already had two dogs when we adopted Jill, a labradoodle and a lab/husky "labsky." We hoped she would learn from them and integrate, but Jill demonstrates constant dominating behavior over my other two senior dogs. My labradoodle is very patient with her, but I still have to remind Jill to not play too rough with him sometimes. My labsky, however, does not tolerate when Jill is trying to dominate and is constantly on edge trying to be left alone. Jill and the labsky have gotten into two major fights in the last 6 months, the last one resulted in my labsky needing urgent care and 15 stitches for lacerations. We simply cannot continue to keep these two dogs together, they are both constantly stressed out about each other. We do have a very old cat in the house, too. Jill has never been aggressive to the cat and tends to give him space.
Jill's ideal home would be with no other pets so that she can get the attention she craves and deserves. She has a ton of energy and needs to be able to run every day, even if it's just for a few minutes at a time. She likes to chew, but not as much as when she was a puppy. A ham or beef bone once in a while helps her get the chewing she needs.
