Juno is a beautiful Husky/ German Shepard 4 yr old female dog. She is quiet for her breed and on the small side, 40 lbs. She is very smart, curious and loves meeting new people and kids. She does not bark at the doorbell or people who enter the house. She loves to be outside and she seeks solitude, she likes her space. She doesn't jump up on the couch with us or the bed. Juno is not food motivated unless it is meat. Somedays she eats once a day, sometimes twice. Her instincts are stellar, she uses her sense of smell and hearing much more than sight. She is sensitive, does not like loud noises and will seek safety under a bed or in a closet if she is scared. Consistency is good for her. She does listen to us, sometimes it takes saying it more than once but she will come around. We adopted her when she was 1.5 years old. It took time for her to get comfortable with us. Its best to allow her time and space for her to get to now you. She is not a high maintenance dog, she likes her space and is quiet. We walk her 2X everyday. She is not hyper and does not do a lot of playing, she is very content as long as she can be outside and explore. She is fearful of other dogs and will react to dogs when we walk her. She was attacked by an off leash dog while she was asleep in our backyard, which was an open yard. She was on a very long leash and someone allowed their dog to enter the yard and he could not control his dog. I stepped in between them to protect Juno and she did not fight me at all, she allowed me to protect her. She was not the aggressor and it was a very unfortunate incident. If she gets to know a dog she will be more calm. Prior to this we were able to take her to the dog park and she was fine with other dogs. She had been receiving all her vaccinations regularly but we have moved 2X and will move again the end of February so she is not up to date currently. We need to relocate to another state to find steady employment for my husband. I never thought we would be in this situation. Juno will not thrive in an apartment which is where we will be living while we figure our living situation out. I pray Juno can find a good, loving home with a fenced yard so she can be off leash. She has brought us so much joy and love.
