Max is in need of a forever home

Max is a three-year-old shepherd mix that weighs 72 pounds. He was surrendered by his owner to West Valley animal shelter where he spent the past 9 months of his life. He was scared and aloof at the beginning but soon became one of the shelter's favorites, ‘the sweetheart’ of the shelter. He is so friendly and such a playful happy boy. He knows basic commands, enjoys splashing in the kiddie pool, playing with toys, and running around the yard solo or with other dogs. He is social with people and has been the perfect companion dog for me. Max was euth-listed due to kennel stress. I adopted him on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. Unfortunately, my male german shepherd doesn’t get along with him and cannot accept another male dog in the same household. For Max's own safety, I need to find him his forever home ASAP.
