Shih Tzu Chatty Cathy

This tiny angel lives to tell us all about it. Walk by her and she quip barks twice since 3 weeks old. Ignore her, how dare I do that?, she quip barks again. A simple few sweet words, she may join in on the conversation, (she hasn't learned to not interrupt the elder speaker),and some rubbing and she quiets. We are talking back to her, quipping the number she did, she quips once and she gets one back. Her sister joins us, the quip fest begins. A good 3 minutes of entertainment ensues. If you are ready for some good morning rubbing and loving and you interrupted her mommy time, a revolt happens. She turns into a squiggly worm and barks in protest. Yes, she wins. I never did it again. She likes her bath, not much love for the blow dryer. She does comply after an opinionated bark/quip discussion. I told her she will feel good when she is dry in a soft assuring voice. It seems to have worked. This is only two weeks of chatty moments. What does she think of the world? I guess her new family will get the honor of that experience. I think she will communicate her needs, just be mindful to her expressing sounds and behaviors. Her grandma taught me she could identify my son's seizures before they happened. She even came to get me when I wasn't in the same area and she would force my attention to come to him. She ran ahead and stayed on alert, smelling, looking all over him. She was taught nothing, I was privileged to be trained by a dog that developed the response. She was very accurate prior to a seizure and getting me there prior to the event. I encouraged and praised her Grandma, always learning from her. God's angels walk amongst us.

She is up on alert before I get the door open.
