Sweet, energetic boy

Boru is 1 year old (approx DOB: Oct 1,2024), male, about 40 lbs, he’s neutered and up to all vaccines, living in Westchester County, NY. Boru is very sweet and affectionate. He can be very cuddly after a long walk and enjoys pets and scratches. He likes being an active dog, playing outside, laying in the sun, playing with ball, fetch, hiking, walking. He has completed both individual and group training sessions, is housebroken, knows “sit, paw, lay.” Boru is crate trained and leash trained, although he attempts to chase after some cars when on a leash. He dislikes getting his nails trimmed, the sound of the vacuum, and being left home alone for longer than 5 hours. He’s an excellent watch dog and will alert if anyone is close to the home. He can be friendly with dogs if the initial meeting is supervised. He has not yet encountered a cat. Born is gentle with my newborn and nieces 6 years and older, but I do not know how he is with a toddler running around. Boru would benefit from experienced dog owners and a home without young children.
