He is seeking a forever home because of his owner's declining health. He is not fully leash trained, so he must have a home with a fenced yard - must be secured and he must be supervised, as he is extremely smart and will figure out how to escape.
He likes to jump on you when excited or when greeting you, so he is definitely not recommended for a home with children or for anyone who is not experienced with his breed. He is an indoor dog, and is house trained but will have accidents if he's not taken out on time. He will not be rehomed to anyone who will keep him outside, as once again, he's an indoor pet.
Tank also MUST have a quiet environment to live in, as lots of loud noises irritates him and he will become reactive. He is a spoiled dog, he is used to sleeping in bed with his current owner and prefers to do so. He will not sleep anywhere else. If he is left alone for too long, he will also engage in destructive behaviors, so please, please be aware of this and ensure you can handle this behavior. This is due to the fact that he has separation anxiety, so again, please ensure you are knowledgeable enough to handle this.
He was never crate trained and does show signs of aggression if an attempt to put him in one is made, so crates are a strict no. He is not up to date on shots and is not neutered because his current owner is unable to afford it due to failing health.
Tank is a good dog, he just needs someone to give him lots of time and attention, and be able to work with him. Again, he is NOT a family dog, not safe for children, not good around any other animal, and must be the only pet in the household. Tank has never, ever bitten anyone or has tried to, but he still cannot be in the household with other animals, and he seems to do best with only one or two people at max.

All potential adopters will be required to sign and complete an Adoption Agreement/Form. Vet references, personal references and proof of identity may be required because this is an adoption. Tank is at risk of euthanasia because of his owner's failing health and there is nowhere left for him to go.
The health of the owner of Tank, Sliver, and all of her puppies is growing increasingly worse. These dogs are now only available for a limited time, as if they don't find suitable homes, the family members of their owner are planning to send them straight to the already full animal shelter, where these guys will be put on the euthanasia list. I don't know how long they will be available, and I currently have the ad for the young puppies on hold until I can get more information on which ones are still available. They are in a foster home now, but they cannot stay there forever, as even the foster caregiver is busy and doesn't have time for any of them.
