Teddy Needs A New Home

This is Teddy, I rescued him when he was about four months old when I lived with my dad on 12 acres. He is now almost one and a half and weighs about 72 pounds. We were told his birthday is April 9th. He needs plenty of land to run around and roam, but he likes to be an inside dog with people, especially at night. He is very affectionate and will give you plenty of cuddles. He is trained on all the basics and is crate trained. He will need an owner who keeps up with his training and has time to spend with him. He likes to go on long walks, we will average about a 3-4 mile walk a night, now that we live on less than half an acre.  He also loves to play fetch, but with a small yard it is a little difficult to throw it far, but he will go get it then run around the house before bringing it back. He has learned he can be full of energy outside and is calm inside. He is not the best with children his height or shorter. it is sometimes hard to tell whether it is play or fear of the children but with work he should get better. The same thing with new dogs that he is unsure of, he will want to play but as soon as they are too close, he changes his mind and will get defensive. He of course gets along with his brother who was his litter mate and still lives with my dad and has learned to get along with my mom's older dog. It took him a little while to learn my mom's older dog could not play and he has learned not to be defensive with his toys when the older dog is around.  He is also very protective of his owners and is a great watch dog.   All of his vaccines and medications are up to date as of August 28th, 2024. The food he gets is Purina Pro Plan complete essentials. When he is adopted he will come with the extra food I have left and a crate. He is also trained to a GPS invisible fence Halo. If you would like the collar to come with him it would be an extra $550. The collar is less than a year old I started using the collar for him March of 2024.
