I love these giant breeds so much - and the puppies are wonderful! They make great family pets. All puppies have received 3 rounds of de-wormer and the first series of distemper (puppy series shots). Both mother and father are on site. I expect the males to weigh around 100lbs and the female to weigh around 80lbs at maturity. Large breeds mature more slowly, 3 years before full weight and adult personality traits kick in fully. These dogs have double coats and shedding is minimal. There is no 'blow out' like some breeds. Dogs can be groomed short or long. Komondors are known for long cords (like dreadlocks). Hair/ fur is soft and does not 'stick' into fabrics like a sofa or car seats. Pyrenees are traditionally independent but the poodle mix has been a wonderful combination. The Komondor is a fireplace dog, she only wants your time and attention. Both breeds are active twice a day - once in the morning and again in the afternoon. As livestock guardians, their function is more to alert - as opposed to herding instincts or defense. This makes them excellent around children and they seem to have an incredible affinity for persons with special needs. These would make wonderful emotional support dogs and/ or therapy dogs. Gentle giants.
