Meet Bongo — our handsome little potato! 🥔❤️🐾 Bongo is such a sweet, funny boy with the BEST personality. He’s affectionate, playful, loves being with his people, and has a way of making you laugh just by being Bongo. He’s grown into the cutest little potato and is just an all-around GOOD boy. ❤️ A little update about Bongo’s eyes: Bongo was seen by our veterinarian on August 21 for a complete recheck. The veterinarian confirmed that the prominent areas in his eyes are cherry eye, which she believes developed following the eye infection/irritation he had previously. The infection and irritation responded well to medication and have cleared. The veterinarian said the cherry eye does not appear to be bothering him, and other than his eyes, Bongo received a great checkup and is healthy. ❤️ Our veterinarian also provided us with treatment estimates so his new family knows exactly what their options are. There is a less expensive option to remove the prolapsed glands, as well as the pocket technique that repositions and preserves the glands. Treatment can also be done with or without neutering. Depending on the option chosen, the veterinarian’s estimate ranges from approximately $455 to $1,110. I am happy to provide serious prospective families with a copy of the veterinarian’s estimate showing all of the treatment options and costs. The current photos were taken 8/18/2026, so you can see exactly what Bongo and his eyes look like now. I’ve also included some older pictures from when he was smaller because, well… baby Bongo was pretty darn cute too. 🥹 Bongo is happy, active, playful and otherwise healthy. Most importantly, I want to find him a wonderful home that will love his goofy personality, sweet nature and adorable little potato self. 🥔❤️🐶
