Young female 8 months hand fed and tame for rehoming fee/negotiable. She has been DNA sexed and health tested. She is a beautiful little Bourke parrot a grass parakeet, named Sapphire, or Saphy. If interested please research needs of this type of bird. She chirps softy and knows a few tunes! She would love the companionship of another bird, such as a canary or another Bourke with whom she could mate. This ad is not for breeders or breeding but for someone older maybe whom is seeking companionship and/or is seeking companionship for their other Bourke/small bird. I love her but need more time for work. She would love to be in an Aviary with other birds as well as have human love and attention. She is very sweet and fast to learn, approximately 5-7 inches in length total. Bourke's are considered parrots due to the shape of their beak originally from Australia. She comes with food toys treats large cage with perches. She loves to be out of the cage. I usually have her out in the mornings for a few minutes. I would need to explain how she learns to fly different spaces and meet the new owners as I want the environment to be a good fit for her. She would prefer 70's to lower 80's San Diego weather.
