Meet BuddyBear — Your Next Adventure Partner
Hi, I’m Chris. BuddyBear has been my loyal sidekick through some of the hardest moments of my life, which makes this incredibly difficult to write. Because of major life changes—caring for my aging parents and an international career opportunity—I can’t give him the level of activity and attention he truly deserves. As hard as this is, I want his next chapter to be even bigger, fuller, and happier than anything I could give him right now.
BuddyBear is a high-energy Pitador (Pit Bull + Lab mix): strong, athletic, and full of life. He thrives in an active home where he can run, hike, play, and engage both his body and mind every day (60–90+ minutes). When he gets that, he’s an incredibly loving, loyal, and affectionate companion who just wants to be close to his person.
What makes him special:
- Deeply loyal, people-focused, and protective in a loving way
- Goofy, fun, and full of personality
- Obsessed with sticks (the bigger, the better)
- Lives for his favorite game, “find it,” where he becomes a determined little tracker
- Loves cuddling just as much as adventuring
He’s house-trained, in great health (fully vaccinated), and knows commands like sit, stay, down, shake, and more. He can relax at home, but he’s not a low-energy dog—he’s built for an active lifestyle.
Best fit home:
- Experienced, active owner
- Ideally the only dog or with a calm, confident adult dog
- Not suited for homes with small animals (strong prey drive)
- Needs structure, boundaries, and consistent exercise
BuddyBear isn’t just a dog—he’s a presence. He’ll make you laugh, keep you moving, and love you with everything he has. In the right home, he will be an incredibly devoted, once-in-a-lifetime companion.
