Hi, My name is Patty. I am a 4-yr old Chiweinner. I am looking for my forever home but I need a really special person. I come from an abusive hoarding situation and so I have no trust for people. I am a happy little guy who shows his affection in my own way. As I get to know you I will come and nudge you with my nose so that you know I am there. I like to get treats - sometimes a little too much - I could use to lose a little weight. I will not be the dog that likes to be picked up and cuddled but in time I may sleep in bed with you. Don't expect me to want hugs and kisses or to be picked up. I am a very independent little guy. I just need a home that understands me. The rescue groups have given up on me and want me to be euthanized as they think I am unadoptable, but I know I can be someone's special little guy. I would like to find a home with a single person or a couple. Children scare me a little, but I am not aggressive toward them. I am good with cats, and I wouldn't mind having a sibling preferably a female close to my size. I need a mostly quite home. Some visitors is fine but nothing too busy.
