They’re still asking for a hand feeding every now and again but eating on their own. They enjoy being around us watching what we do around the house. We’ve begun taking them on car rides. These birds are fairly independent and need continuous handling to stay tame. This means constant work from you. They’re not cuddly but don’t mind the occasional pat on the head or kisses. Derbyans have been known to be chewers so plenty of branches and toys should be kept extra to help with this habit. these girls have been fun to have.
