We are looking for a furever home for Elsa through no fault of her own. We rescued her from a bad owner and would keep her but our dominant dog in our house does not get along 100% of the time and while Elsa isnt a dominating personality, she doesn't back down and it's causing some negative interactions between them and I feel a home where she is more comfortable with the dynamics is going to be the best for her! She is the perfect mix of German Sheperd | Golden Retriever: Shes approx. 70lbs and a chonk. Shes about 7 years old and She is extremely loving and affectionate, very good with children and an excellent protector! She is not food aggressive or aggressive towards people. She does love to bark at anyone passing by but otherwise is very good at home. She is not crated currently and has never been with us and she does very good being alone at the house. She does love a good stuffed animal to carry around and chew on but doesn't discriminate between her toys or the kids that get left out! She does let us know if she needs to go outside and knows what to do but she is very quiet in her alerts for going out so she just needs someone who can set a routine for her and watch when she has to go. She loves walks and does really well, she does get a little nervous on walks when passing other people or dogs but she's improving greatly and is very food motivated so she learns fast. She loves a good cuddle in bed or on the couch. We currently keep her on a leash or a lead outside in our unfenced yard but when we travel up north she always stays close and doesnt wander off. She gets along PERFECTLY with my female pitbull and my mothers poodle and would do well in a home with other dogs as long as they aren't overly dominate. She loves to play in the water and does great on our fishing boat. If you want an amazing older family dog that will follow you around all day, always wants a cuddle and is just a happy girl Elsa is the dog for you! We would not at all be rehoming Elsa at all if our dominate dog wasnt starting trouble with her, shes an absolute treasure and a golden personality! Shes got a great shiny coat and is a good weight, shes not fixed but its on our to do list and if the right family or person came along for her I'd work with them to get everything up to speed before seeing her off. I will be a little picky about where she does go and would require a meet and greet! Again she is a wonderful dog and will make a wonderful companion.
