Posted 10 Sep 2025Purebred English LabWe are so sad to have to rehome our English lab! He is such an amazing family dog, but we had to move to the city for my husband's work and he isnt handling the transition well. He grew up on our 10 acre homestead in Northern Minnesota. He was raised around chickens, turkeys, pigs and cats. He is gentle with them all. He also grew up with kids 14 down to 1 year and has been amazing with them as well. He is calm- He does show excitement when you get home- loves water and bubbles and is just an amazing dog all around. He is good on a leash in the country but has struggled doing leashed walks in the city. He doesn't like to be contained in a fenced yard in the city so he needs land to protect and roam. He is a great watch dog, but only barks as an alert to tell you someone is there. We would never think of getting rid of him if we hadn't moved- being in town just isnt fair to him. He is purebred but cant be used as a stud- his papers are flagged so you cant sell purebred puppies- this was to stop others in Northern Minnesota from breeding this same breed and taking away from the original breeders.
