The Keeshond is a medium-sized, spitz-type dog from the Netherlands, known as the "Smiling Dutchman" for its friendly expression, fox-like face, and "spectacles" markings around its eyes. Originally a barge dog and watchdog, it's a lively, affectionate, and intelligent companion that thrives on family activity, though it can be prone to barking and requires regular grooming for its thick double coat.
