Description
Posted 24 Feb 2026Klue is a people-loving, affectionate gentle giant looking for a calm, structured home where he can finally feel safe and included. Loyal, strong, and deeply human-focused, he’s ready for the right experienced owner to give him stability and a true fresh start.📍 Located in San Antonio, Texas
Willing to make reasonable travel arrangements for the right home.
I found Klue as a stray and have been caring for him while searching for the right permanent home.
Klue absolutely loves people. He is extremely social, affectionate, and truly a gentle giant with humans. He wants to be near you and does not enjoy being isolated from his people.
He is generally calm and quiet and does not bark much. He loves dog bones and settles well when he feels secure and included. He thrives in calm, structured environments.
✔️ Has lived around male dogs without issue
⚠️ There was a serious dog-to-dog incident when introduced to a female foster dog
Because of that, slow and structured introductions are crucial in any future home. I cannot confidently say whether he is selective by gender or temperament — only that careful management matters.
Cats are currently unknown. From the limited exposure he has had to my cats, he has not shown noticeable interest or prey drive. However, due to management and separation related to my female foster dog, interactions have been minimal, so I cannot guarantee compatibility.
His exact age is unknown.
Klue was found very malnourished and has scars on his neck consistent with being previously chained. He has no microchip and is not neutered. He is very strong and muscular, so he needs someone physically confident and experienced with powerful breeds.
He has been very gentle and affectionate with adults. Due to his size, strength, and excitement when greeting people, a home with older children who understand dog boundaries would be best.
🏡 Ideal home:
• Secure fenced yard
• Calm, structured environment
• Experienced with strong breeds
• Committed to slow introductions if other dogs are present
I care deeply about making sure he ends up in the right home. I am willing to arrange controlled meet-and-greets and allow time for you to spend with him before making a decision.
This is not first-come. I am looking for a committed, long-term placement.
If interested, please message with:
• Your home setup
• Other pets (if any)
• Your experience with strong breeds
• Fencing situation
His long-term stability and safety matter more than speed.
After likely spending much of his life chained and underfed, he deserves the chance to finally experience stability, structure, and a home where he is truly included.
