Introducing Lizzo and Nikki! They're both under a year old, quite small, very active and in need of someone with much more energy and time than I have currently. I bought the girls last year not realizing that my health would take such a hard turn, but here we are. They're beautiful and very sweet, but also very skittish. They seem to prefer to do their own thing rather than be a pocket pet, but perhaps that's just because they haven't been smothered with affection like they deserve. I ended up having 2 major life altering surgeries since I brought them home and now I have realized that they deserve to be loved and cherished by a family who can put them first. I still have more surgeries on the horizon, so I'm hoping to find an amazing forever home for the girls.
They have a large habitat with an easy to care for vinyl liner, hides, food and water dispensers, a stack of disposable liners, and a 50lb bag of pellets and any other supplies I have on hand for them.
They have been raised with both dogs and cats as well as a few bunnies. They have zero fear and will investigate anything in their realm. They don't bite at all and can easily be handled once caught. I don't like chasing them down, just to hold them, so I tend to enjoy their antics from afar.
They're extremely demanding, well Lizzo is. Nikki is a sweet, quiet girl who will snuggle into your hoodie pocket and just hang out, while Lizzo is always on the go, go, go! When she hears me chopping veggies, she starts squealing until I come pay tribute in carrots, celery or greens. They love the occasional fruit treat and get extremely excited. Food definitely is the way to their greedy little hearts 💕
Lizzo is a skinny pig, so she has slightly different nutritional needs from Nikki. She needs more calories in her diet because her metabolism is faster. I feed them a mix of high quality pellets, greens, fruits and veggies and as much Timothy grass as they can eat, but I always make sure to give Lizzo a bit extra. She will dramatically lose weight if she is underfed. She also drinks A LOT of water, so please keep that in mind when considering adding them to your family.
