Barney is a friendly 12-year-old pure-bred Shih-Tzu. Weighs around 12 lbs. His owner passed away suddenly and he needed a temporary home so we took him in. We already have 2 large dogs and 2 cats (in a tiny house!) and are not able to give him the love, attention and companionship he needs, so would love for him to find a household that would love a small snuggle-buddy.Barney gets along fine with cats and gentle dogs. We don't know too much about how he would be around children, but he is small and very friendly. He uses an indoor pee pad for going to the bathroom, but is also learning to go outside. He can go up and down steps just fine. He is bred to be a companion dog and definitely loves human attention and loves nothing more than to be your hot water bottle!

As far as we know he is current on shots with no pertinent health issues and is eating and drinking appropriately. He is pretty low energy - doesn't require a ton of exercise, and is perfectly happy just chilling with you wherever you are.
