Meet Tigger! 🧡 Tigger is a very affectionate male cat looking for his forever home. He showed up as a stray, and we’ve been caring for him while trying to find the right fit. About Tigger: • Male • Estimated age: 5–6 years old (per vet) • Very loving and people-friendly • Gets along well with dogs • Does not do well with other cats • Neutered Tigger loves attention and his favorite mouse toy, and more than anything enjoys being around people. He would do best as the only cat in the home where he can soak up all the love. My dream home would be an elderly person who needs some companionship where he would get all the attention. Please share to help Tigger find his forever family As sweet as Tigger is, he spent an unknown amount of time surviving as a stray outdoors, relying only on his instincts to stay alive. I’ve tried introducing him to other cats several times, and at first he does okay — but the moment another cat hisses, his survival instincts take over and he becomes defensive and aggressive. Because of this, it’s very important that he goes to a home without other cats. Right now, Tigger is living in my garage. As much as I would love to keep him, I have an FIV-positive cat inside the house and I can’t risk a fight between them. When I first found Tigger, he was barely hanging on. He was curled up in my garage, covered in wounds, weak, and just trying to survive. I personally cared for him and nursed him back to health over the following months. When winter came, we brought him inside and he stayed in my son’s room until the weather warmed up again. We have spent hundreds of dollars on veterinary care for him. He developed a corneal ulcer in his eye and eventually needed surgery to correct his eyelid because it was rubbing against his eye and causing the ulcers. Thankfully, he has now healed. I love Tigger very much, but it isn’t fair for him to spend his life confined to a garage. He deserves a safe, loving home with a family who will care for him and love him as deeply as I do.
