Mike is a 1.5-year-old full German Rottweiler / Czech Shepherd who needs a loving, experienced home. Due to serious health issues in our family, we’re heartbroken to have to rehome him — this decision is purely about giving him the active life he deserves. I had a major spine injury and cannot care for him any longer. A friend had the mom (Czech Shepard, and the dad a German Rottweiler and they had a litter.. so we have had him since day one) Pictures don’t do him justice, he’s beautiful and so cute!  He’s neutered, up to date on shots, house trained (no accidents in over a year), and crate trained. Mike is fun, playful, and very affectionate. He has high energy and needs daily exercise — once he’s had a good run, he’s a big lovable floor potato. He does great wit cats.. has not been around dogs but I feel like an experienced pet owner would have no problem getting him used to another dog.

He is very very smart, he knows sit, lay, paw, roll over, and touch. And listens! Could be a really awesome trained guard dog if you work with him.  He is leash trained but very strong and needs an experienced handler. He may bark/pull toward other dogs but has never harmed anyone. He was doing amazing with the trainer with the “gentle leader leash” just needs someone who can practice with him. He will jump occasionally but listens when you say no. 

He has not been around very small children, my children are 17 and 10 and he does great with them. 

He’s loyal, protective, sweet and a great boy and will be a great dog for any family, 

We love Mike and want him to have the life he deserves. Willing to drive him to relocate and want someone to love him the way we do. We are heartbroken to have to rehome our “big Mike”
