Description
Posted 17 Feb 2026My name is Ruby and I need your help urgently to get Ringo re-homed! He truly is the best friend I ever had. But as a college senior moving away in 3 months, I cannot keep him once graduated.
I met Ringo about 1.5 years ago, trembling in the back of a cage in a shelter after being rescued off the streets. He was malnourished, terrified, and had been abused. I took him in and he quickly became my whole world. And not only did I help heal him, but he did the same for me.
Ringo loves like no other. He is fiercely loyal and incredibly grateful, knowing what it is like to have nobody. He loves running in yards and going on hikes, but also loves to nap and watch TV. When playing he is sometimes mouthy, but with a quick "uh-uh" he stops. He does great in the car, loves cuddling and new people, has good manners, learns tricks quick, and goes in his crate without complaints. He loves playing with other dogs, however does like to be the top dog (which some dogs do like and some don't). He does not bark at other dogs or pull towards them on walks. He is classified as a Labrador retriever, but has something else in him as well. Being on a college campus Ringo has had a blast and made so much progress from being in a shelter. However, money and location wise, once college ends I can't keep him, and really do not want him to go to a shelter.
*He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and potty trained.
I have so much more info abt Ringo so please reach out with any Q's! (Austin, Waco, Dallas, Houston areas).
