This is Siya, a Norwegian Forest Cat which is an intelligent and popular breed.

Siya is what most people want with their cat. She is personable, playful, healthy, well groomed and well behaved. She meows and purrs loudly, loves to play, climb trees and hunt, and adores attention. Siya is young - about 2 years old, medium length long hair and about 12 lbs. She is spayed and microchipped and she keeps her hair soft and pretty. Siya has caught mice, small birds, and lizards. Forest Cats are known to be good with kids and other animals, but has been chased and worries about feral cats in the back field. She is unrestrained but stays close to the house.

Siya is not comfortable with being picked up and carried (common with the breed), but she snuggles against your legs for head and ear scratches, hop up onto your bed, likes attention and will follow you around the house. She clearly wants to live in a home with people and be in a close and loving relationship. Siya is primarily an indoor cat but she enjoys being outside. She is house trained but is used to going to the bathroom outside versus using a litter box. Siya has not had any 'accidents' in the house, has never hissed at or scratched or bitten her foster person.

She needs a new home because the foster will be gone for the winter months, and parts of the summer.

The Norwegian Forest Cat is a desireable breed and there are lots of YouTube videos of this breed, and Siya has all the classic behaviors described in the videos.

Although Siya lives with a foster she is available through B.A.M. pet services - because apparently cats available for free are often targets for lab/product testing and abuse by people who hate cats. So there is a small donation (100 which covers the shots and chip) and brief interview involved.
