Welcome to WillowHaven Homestead. We are a small family based breeder on an off-grid homestead in central Arizona. We are passionate about raising useful farm dogs and helping to save rare breeds along the way.
Our puppies are raised right here on our homestead in the yard or home and are carefully and safely introduced to our variety of livestock. We strive to breed only health tested, responsibly bred dogs and to provide early enrichment (ENS or 'Super Dog program') and lifelong breeder support. We provide 1st vaccination free upon request at pickup (and are happy to show you how to vaccinate yourself). If you go through your vet, we recommend getting 1st vax there (so vaccinations, schedule, etc match up)
Only girls available. Their names are posted on the picture in their collar color. Available coat pattern colors are tri color and blue merle (we believe will turn lilac as they get older) $1,500 total price. $500 (50% refundable) deposit/holding fee. Remaining $1,000 due at pick up. Can meet in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Apache Jct, Gold Canyon, Superior, Coolidge, Casa Grande, Marana, Oracle, Tucson, etc for addition mileage fee. Favorite meetup location is Coolidge Tractor Supply. Puppies come with 'puppy pack' that includes a leash, and blanket that smells like mom& litter mates.
Old Time Scotch Collies are the breed the original Lassie from the book is believed to have been. They are all around farm dogs- watch dog, herding dog, protection dog. They stand out as being naturals at these jobs, often doing them without being trained. They are great family farm/ homestead dogs and some are being used as service dogs. Unlike many other herding breeds, this breed has an 'off switch'.
The parents of this litter are working dogs on our off-grid homestead. Mom specializes in gently catching escape piglets, herding ducks and singling out sheep and goats for shearing. Dad specializes in protecting/ herding poultry, watching the sky for flying predators, cat snuggling, guest announcements and fits in time for games of fetch. Both parents are registered Old Time Scotch Collies. Pups are pedigreed online with OTSC Association
