Part Explorer, Part Foodie, 100% Loyal: Meet Baby!
Description
Posted 28 Feb 2026The StoryBorn around Christmas 2023, this resilient boy was rescued from a deep freeze and hand-raised (dropper-fed!) from a tiny kitten. Because he grew up with three dogs and a toddler instead of other kittens, he truly believes he is "one of the guys." He is a sturdy, healthy, and fiercely loyal companion. Due to a change in our living circumstances, we are heartbreakingly looking for a new forever home for Baby. He is a beloved member of our family, and our priority is finding him a home where he can continue to be in the center of the action.
Personality & Quirks
- The Ultimate Shadow: He doesn’t like being alone. Whether you’re cooking (he’ll be the rug in the middle of the kitchen) or sleeping (he’ll be right there in bed with you), he wants to be at the center of the action.
- A True Foodie: I’ve never seen a cat so interested in what’s for dinner. From yogurt and pancakes to spicy ramen broth and roasted potatoes, he is the ultimate taste-tester. This makes him incredibly food-motivated and trainable!
- Gentle & Patient: He has been raised with a 5-year-old and is remarkably patient, often spending quiet moments nose-to-nose with his tiny human.
- The Explorer: He is amenable to a leash and loves exploring the outdoors, provided his "pack" (humans and dogs) is with him. He’s a homebody at heart who just wants to go on adventures with you.
- Affection Style: He isn't a "hold me like a baby" cat, but he is deeply codependent. He prefers to be near you or sleeping in bed with you rather than being carried around.
Health & Manners
- Fully Vetted: Meticulously cared for with regular vet check-ups since his rescue.
- Up-to-Date: Current on all vaccinations and preventative care, including flea and tick medication.
- Perfect House Manners: 100% litter-box trained with a perfect track record.
The Ideal Home
Baby needs a home where people are around often. He needs an owner who will actively play/wrestle with him to burn off his "teenager" energy. He thrives with dogs and would likely enjoy a playful feline friend or being the solo "king" of a busy household. He would not be a good companion to an older cat, as he will chase and irritate them as a source of stimulation.
- A Safety Note: He has a strange obsession with string and will try to swallow it. His new home must be mindful of keeping string, yarn, or hair ties out of reach!
Upon adopting Baby, we would be able to provide a soft-sided carrier; harness and leash; litter box (pellets and pee pads); automatic feeder; and, of course, any remaining food and treats. We would also love to send him along with any soft toys and blankets that would be welcomed, to ease his transition.
