Description
Posted 10 Jan 2026This is my sweet girl, Nia. She just turned 4 years old in November. She is truly an amazing dog with so much love to give. She is wonderful with kids of all ages and babies, and absolutely loves people. She is very affectionate, playful, and a big cuddler. She’s fully potty trained, knows basic commands like sit and stay, leave it, here, no, etc. and is very obedient. She does love attention and can be a bit of a “bugaboo” in the cutest way — she just wants to be close to her people. She is high-energy and will need at least 1–2 hours of outdoor time daily to play and burn energy but she will bed rot with you if you'd like. She loves playing fetch, tug-of-war, and swimming. If there’s a pool, she’s all in — just don’t jump in with her because she’ll try to “save” you and may accidentally scratch you (speaking from experience lol). She is reactive with other dogs and cats, so she would do best as the only pet, unless the other animals are puppies or kittens. For everyone’s safety, no walks for now, as I am currently working on training her reactivity around other dogs. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and comes with paperwork. She eats twice a day and is very smart, sweet, talkative, and deeply loving. She truly has the biggest heart — she will literally lick your tears if you cry. I rescued her when she was about 6 weeks old from a homeless camp, where she was living outside in freezing winter temperatures. I’ve raised her ever since, and I love her like my own child. Unfortunately, my circumstances changed abruptly. I had to move out of my ex-boyfriend’s home, where she had a large yard and a family who adored her. I am now staying with a family member, but the landlord does not allow pets. I am working full-time and doing everything in my power to keep her, but she is currently staying with a friend temporarily. I am urgently seeking a foster or adopter to avoid having to surrender her. I am more than willing to help accommodate her needs and support whoever opens their home to her in any way I can. This is incredibly hard for me, and I am truly desperate to find her a safe, loving place. She is the best friend anyone could ask for.
