Miko is a very energetic puppy. He loves to play, run, and dig holes. Miko would thrive with an experienced owner who lives a very active lifestyle. He is just under a year old. He requires dedicated training to correct some behaviors. He tends to resource guard his food and toys from other dogs. He does treat small kids as little animals and trys to “herd” them. Since his breed is typically for farm life and is a working dog breed being a “Texas Heeler” he will need lots of mental and physical stimulation and a large yard. He responds well to his name being called and walks well on a leash. He loves attention and is very responsive to treats. He does know basic commands like sit, paw, smell, laydown, crawl, amd stay. He is a loyal dog and is protective. He has had one set of puppy shots before he came into our care a month ago, we did rescue him from a family friend who could no longer keep him. If he gets proper training we believe he could do well with other animals and children. We are trying to find him the best possible home for him to live a happy life.
