Hey! The name's River. I'm an 8-year-old dude cat—half Manx, half American Shorthair. I am an indoor/outdoor cat who cries at the door if I haven't gone out in a while. I do not have a GPS tracker but I do have a Tile which can help locate me. I am getting trained to come inside when the notification sound goes off.

I was born without a tail so I am little clumsy but that does not stop me from snagging a baby bunny, mouse, or shrew. :( I've lived with my human since I was weaned. I get jealous and protective of my human so I do not do well around other animals. If someone knocks at the door I sometimes run toward it growling!

I am neutered and house trained, but because of my taillessness I sometimes have poop accidents and need my butt wiped. I have a ton of luggage to bring with me so you don't have to worry about picking up anything extra (bed, food, bowls, brush, blankets, treats, a catpack, litterbox, and litter related items).

My human and her partner of nine years are breaking up, and she has to move in with her mother who refuses to let me live with them. She is crying as she helps me dictate this ad.

I am a Sour Patch kitty; sometimes sweet, sometimes sour. My boundaries need to be respected. Since I do not have a tail to communicate, I will use my teeth and claws. But I can be loving and cuddly when I want. I also love to play fetch with bottle caps!

I need a loving home that understands my personality, will love me with my special needs, and won't break my human's heart any more than it already is.
