Description
Posted 19 Oct 2026Sooty is our fully tame 8 month unsexed African grey is looking for her forever home. Unfortunately my 10 year old son has developed an allergy to her and even though we have tried medications for him it is beginning to affect his eye sight and I have to put his needs first. What can I say about Sooty? We refer to as female even though her sex hasn’t been proven. She is the heart of our family and everyone loves her dearly. She is extremely intelligent and is constantly observing the comings and going’s of the home. She loves being out of her cage exploring the house and having watches. She thrives on affections and offers plenty of kisses and will happily take food from your hand. She is such a happy bird and is often whistling and making an array of noises. She has recently started saying hello and no.Her diet consists of a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, pomegranate and sugar snap peas are her favourite, p15 pellets and African grey mix of seed once a week. She also has vitamins added to her food twice a week. She is used to the hustle and bustle of a busy house and isn’t frightened of the hoover, loud music, dogs or children. She comes with a large cage thats a month old, toys, perches (sizes available in the photos). I would ask questions. Thanks for your time.
