Voodoo (also called Voo) is a 5-year-old pit mix who has been with us since he was 6 weeks old. He weighs between 50 and 60lbs. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is an incredibly loving, cuddly dog who adores burrowing under blankets, being close to his people, and learning new things. He knows many commands including sit, stay, lay down, paw, and high five.He is currently on fluoxetine/Prozac for anxiety (about $20/month) and does well on it. He tolerates cats—he may play-chase, but has never harmed one. He’s very playful with other dogs too, and he’s the life of the party at the dog park!
Important: Voodoo has resource guarding/food aggression, especially around small children when people-food is involved. He has never shown aggression outside of guarding, and he is submissive and responsive to adults. For everyone’s safety, he will do best in a home with adults only or older kids who understand dog boundaries and body language.
Aside from the food-guarding issue, Voo is affectionate, trainable, and a truly life-changing companion. He deserves a home that can meet his needs and keep him safe and happy.
